Philipp is an architect trained at the University of Stuttgart and the Technical University of Berlin, where he completed his master’s degree in 2023 in collaboration with the Chair of Affective Architecture at ETH Zurich under Prof. An Fonteyne. His work is driven by questions of social relevance, addressing contemporary challenges such as the housing crisis and the creation of high-quality public space through clear and rigorous design approaches.

He gained professional experience with Morger Partner Architekten in Basel, Felgendreher Olfs Köchling and David Chipperfield Architects in Berlin. Working across scales, from urban strategies to housing, he has developed an approach rooted in the specific context and focused on the transformation of the existing built environment.

Alongside his professional work, he has contributed to competitions and realised housing projects in collaboration with his family’s practice, gaining experience across all phases from concept to completion. This has shaped his understanding of the relationship between space, material and atmosphere, as well as the broader conditions influencing architecture.

Through his freelance work, he became a founding collaborator of A KIND OF SPACE, where he develops projects with a focus on carefully considered and socially relevant architectural responses.
