Emilie is an architecture student at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where she completed her Bachelor of Architecture in 2025. Her academic work has explored themes of urban ecology, adaptive reuse, collective living and the relationship between architecture, landscape and public space through design studios led by Dieter Dietz, Paola Viganò, Eric Lapierre and Marco Bakker.

Her projects range from small-scale public interventions and thermal bath complexes to urban strategies addressing climate resilience and social cohesion. Alongside her studies, she gained practical experience through internships at ATBA SA in Geneva and at the office of architect Steven de Palézieux in Vevey, contributing to feasibility studies, architectural drawings and visual communication. Her interests extend beyond architecture and include community engagement, leadership and collaborative work developed through many years of involvement in the Swiss scouting movement.

Emilie joined A KIND OF SPACE in Berlin in May 2026 as a mandatory six-month internship placement. She supports architectural, urban and research projects through drawing, modelling, visual representation and design development. Her work is characterised by curiosity, a strong graphic sensibility and an interest in architecture as a framework for social and environmental transformation.
