Description

Situated at the southern edge of the campus, a three-storey classroom building defines the perimeter. Its slight curve frames a newly formed public space, raised using excavated soil to address previous flooding while remaining gently sunken at its centre. A new path aligns with the campus level, reinforcing continuity and centrality. To the west, a low oval auditorium pavilion preserves the openness of the former sports field and, together with the existing mensa to the east, subtly encloses the space. Inside, the scale of public areas shifts across levels. A generous ground floor entrance allows passage through the building, while upper floors widen towards the ends, with shared spaces organised around four vertical cores and a central zone. This creates a gradient from transient movement to more settled, semi-private use. The structure combines a concrete frame with prefabricated timber elements and a continuous steel terrace along the perimeter, balancing efficiency with warmth and openness to the surrounding landscape.
